AeRo R&D Objectives

This program aims to position LEAPR’S AeRo R&D as a major player for the Autonomous Mission and Drone Technologies especially for Africa through Defining Drone experts education profile and establishing three phase training program for young graduates.

Enrollment Process

  1. Sending out application forms for the interested candidates
    • In-partnership with universities we can have graduates references and contacts.
    • Looking into industry partners who are interested in enrolling their staff in the program. (Banks, Health Institutions, Fintechs, AgricTech companies, EduTech, Smart Transport, etc…
  2. Applications online review to have the eligible candidates first selected
  3. Face to Face Interviews to check candidate’s motivation and communication skills.
  4. Doing an aptitude and IQ Test to identify the talented Candidates. 
  5. Signing an Income Share Agreement. (*Required).

R&D General Criteria

  1. Advanced knowledge in either Programming, Electronics and/or Mechanical
  2. Self-commitment & Teamwork spirit
  3. Available 24/7 unless there’s an emergency
  4. Good Communication & High aptitude skills
  5. Young and tech enthusiast.

  2. Meet-ups with Instructors & Mentors
  3. Ideation, Project development, Team work, Project Blog Updation… (Design Thinking as the main approach for problem solving)
  4. Scrum meetings, Presentations, Demonights, Brainstorming, etc…
  5. Industry & Trainees (Pairing for mentorship and building industrial experience)
  6. Individual & Collaborative Research (Imagination, Discovering the unknown, innovating)
  7. Products/Service Development 
  8. Practicing the course at the Industry Trainee Partner Company
Training Phases
  1. Three Months Intensive Training at Leapr AeRo R&D
  2. Three Months Project Development at Chemnitz University of Technology. 
  3. Six Months Industrial experience at Industry Trainee Partner
